PC Gaming Exploding into 2007

A recent New York Times article explains that 2007 might very well be a banner year for PC gaming.  It’s been reported that U.S. sales of PC games within the first 2 months of 2007 are up 48% from the same time last year.

 

Contributing to the auspicious start of 2007 for PC games are the immense popularity of Blizzard’s World of Witchcraft: The Burning Crusade, Microsoft’s introduction of Games for Windows - Live, PC gaming’s ability to more closely replicate gameplay of popular consoles, the ability to use controllers from other consoles on the PC, and the fact that just about everyone has a computer!

Poll: Plasma Delivers best HDTV Picture

Everything seems to be going high-definition nowadays - televisions, DVD’s, monitors, news programs, documentaries, game shows, video games, sports, and much more - and with the advantages and recent developments of HDTV technology, many consumers are wondering which is best for them.

 

According to an online poll from the web site TVPredictions, 35 percent of 931 respondents said that a plasma set delivers the best HDTV picture.  Coming in at a very close second with 33 percent of the votes was LCD HDTV technology, followed by DLP rear projection technology (27 percent).
